But the real magic happened when I crossed the pond and linked up with a RISD grad in Providence, Rhode Island. That’s where I fell head-over-heels for the precision and challenge of furniture making. As I continued to refine my skills, I had the privilege of working alongside the legendary Richard Chillcott in Florida. That experience really opened my eyes to the boundless possibilities in furniture design. But the real game-changer came when I relocated to Texas and linked up with master craftsman Michael Colca. For six years, I was his apprentice, soaking up knowledge like a sponge and learning the true meaning of superior craftsmanship.
“Under Michael, I learned truly superior craftsmanship in furniture construction. I was also introduced to Austin Community College, where I’ve since been working as an adjunct professor, sharing my passion for this craft with others.”
These days, my studio is a one-man operation where I design and build truly unique, one-of-a-kind pieces for clients across the United States.
