It was a nine-month intensive program that quickly took me from furniture making novice to industry-standard craftsman. But, you know what they say – no pain, no gain. And the gains I’ve experienced have been immeasurable. I get to work in the beautiful countryside, be creative every single day, and have the freedom to structure my day in a way that suits me. It’s a dream come true, really.

When I finally feel ready to dive in, I’ll choose the materials I think will work best for the piece, whether that’s a domestic wood or a sleek metal.
